Partners

We are grateful for the participation of our school partners who make PDP possible. By welcoming methods courses and student teaching cohorts, SUNY Buffalo State faculty and teacher candidates become members of the school community who seek to support the goals and interests of the hosting school. We value our collaboration as we work together to address common challenges in education.

Schools

The SUNY Buffalo State PDP began in 1991 with one school partner. Today, our Consortium includes over 100 school and community agencies with approximately 45 signed agreements each semester. These partners are located in Western New York, New York City, Texas, and across five continents. They include urban, rural, and suburban districts that serve a wide range of P-12 learners.

Mentor Teachers

Mentor teachers are very important stakeholders in the PDP Consortium. Their expertise and willingness to host teacher candidates and student teachers in their classrooms make the clinically rich program of SUNY Buffalo State’s PDP possible.

We are grateful to the hundreds of mentor teachers who help candidates develop the necessary skills, knowledge, and dispositions to become effective teachers and welcome all mentor teachers to participate in PDP activities, conferences, and professional development opportunities.
